Based in Dublin and a journalist by training, John has been writing and speaking about environmental and climate-related issues for the last decade and a half, with his key focus in “raising the alarm” on the global climate emergency while pressing the Irish media to take this issue far more seriously. Apart from the climate beat, John is also the founder and co-owner of a successful healthcare publishing and creative business based in Dun Laoghaire since the 1990s. John is currently a weekly environmental columnist on ‘The Last Word with Matt Cooper’ and is a regular guest columnist with the Business Post, the Irish Examiner, and The Journal.ie, while continuing as an occasional Irish Times contributor and a regular contributor on environmental issues on national and local radio. He has also written for the Guardian (UK), DeSmog.com, The Times (Ireland), The Phoenix & Village magazine.
