Jeanet Bruil works as head of the Dutch Research Agenda (NWA) at the Dutch Research Council (NWO). She started her career as a researcher in the field of youth and public health and developed her skills in different roles as researcher, project manager, cluster manager public health to develop her leadership. It is her passion to facilitate researchers and societal organisations to work together to answer research questions formulated by society. Research funding has, in her opinion, an essential role to play in stimulating the scientific and societal impact of science, as an intermediary between science, policymakers and societal stakeholders including citizens. She enjoys working with her team to reach goals and to support colleagues in their work pleasure and lifelong learning. About the Dutch Research Agenda (NWA): the primary aim of the Dutch Research Agenda is to answer research questions formulated by the societal community, to build bridges between various scientific fields, between different types of research (fundamental, implied, practice-oriented), between research and society and between various national and international agendas.
