Clare Bohan (BSc, PhD) is the Programme and Quality Manager at the Childhood Development Initiative, in Tallaght, Dublin 24. She previously worked as the Literacy Co- ordinator with the organisation, overseeing the implementation of four literacy interventions for children from birth to 8 years old; Doodle Den, Doodle Families, Doodle STEAM and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Clare has coordinated the implementation of Doodle STEAM in 21 sites to date and is passionate about ensuring children and families are supported in engaging with science and literacy activities. Clare completed a BSc in Psychology in Dublin City University, and followed this with the completion of a PhD in Psychology (behavioural interventions in classrooms) under the supervision of Dr Sinéad Smyth (DCU) and Dr Claire McDowell (Ulster University). She has published four peer-reviewed research articles in international journals and has presented her research findings to national and international audiences.
