Dr. Aoife Nic Shamhráin is a UCD medicine graduate who completed the Trinity Postgraduate GP Training Scheme to become a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners (ICGP). She has a strong interest in Womens’ Health having completed her Diploma with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2016 and has achieved a Certificate in Contraception and Long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) from the ICGP. She has previous experience looking after women on the sunny Gold Coast, Australia, where she set up a Mirena Clinic and was awarded a Fellowship with the RACGP. She is currently an Assistant Scheme Director for the Dublin-Mid-Leinster GP Training Scheme in Ireland. She is accredited by the British Menopause Society as the 8th BMS Menopause Specialist in Ireland, is a BMS Menopause Trainer and a member of the International Menopause Society (IMS). When not at work, Aoife is a proud mammy to her smiley little 2 year old daughter and enjoys being part of the Belpark Triathlon club and the Dublin Symphony Orchestra
