Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Warwick

Dr Eric A. Jensen is Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Warwick, where he teaches about research methods, media audiences and public engagement. Eric has conducted audience research and evaluation studies at London Zoo, Copenhagen Zoo, British Museum, the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums, University of Cambridge Museums, Cheltenham Science Festival, Manchester Science Festival and Cambridge Science Festival (UK), and many other institutions. His research is published in journals such as Nature, Public Understanding of Science and Conservation Biology. Books include, The Therapeutic Cloning Debate: Global Science and Journalism in the Public Sphere and Culture and Social Change: Transforming Society through the Power of Ideas. Forthcoming books include Making the most of Public Engagement Events and festivals and Making the most of Conservation Education. Eric has delivered evaluation training for science communication practitioners around the world. He has a PhD in sociology from the University of Cambridge.
